Judith Austen is an American painter whose work explores observation, atmosphere, memory, and the emotional character of place. Educated at Pratt Institute and Boston University, she taught art for nearly three decades before relocating to Tucson, Arizona, where the Sonoran Desert became an enduring source of inspiration.
